Trainee Membership

QUALIFICATIONS

To become a Trainee member, an applicant must be one of the following:

  1. A postdoctoral fellow or medical resident in an immunology (or related field) training program. Postdoctoral Trainee membership may be held for up to 6 years of postdoctoral training (exceptions will be considered).
  2. A graduate student enrolled in an education or training program that could lead to a career in immunology or a related field. Graduate Student Trainee members are eligible to renew in this sub-category for the duration of their graduate training.
  3. A recent college graduate (young professional) within 5 years of receiving a BA, BS or equivalent degree. Young Professional Trainee members are eligible to renew in this sub-category for up to 5 years post degree or until enrollment in a graduate or medical degree program.
  4. An undergraduate student enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with an interest in immunology. Undergraduate Student Trainee members are eligible to renew in this sub-category for the duration of their years as an undergraduate student.

MEMBERSHIP DUES

Annual membership dues are based on the calendar year (January 1 – December 31).

  • $85 Postdoctoral
  • $75 Young Professional
  • $64 Graduate Student
  • $50 Undergraduate Student

Invoices for Canadian residents will include GST and HST, as applicable. Membership for all trainee categories includes online access to The Journal of Immunology.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

  • If you already have an account as a past member or past AAI event attendee: Login at the membership portal. Once logged in, select the Trainee Member Application under Join AAI / Member Applications.
  • If you are new to AAI: Start a new Trainee Member Application.
Trainee Membership dues are nonrefundable.
