  • AAI submitted testimony to the Senate Labor-HHS Appropriations Subcommittee on May 21 recommending an appropriation of at least $44.7 billion for NIH for FY 2021.   • AAI sends a letter urging the President and Congressional Leaders to heed the advice of Dr. Fauci and other experts during the COVID-19 pandemic. (April 15, 2020)
  • AAI signs community letters to House and Senate appropriators calling for a nonpartisan review of the COVID-19 response (March 30, 2020)
  • AAI signs community letter to President Trump urging him to lift restrictions on federally funded human fetal tissue research, particularly for research on COVID-19 (March 25, 2020)
  • AAI submitted testimony to the House Labor-HHS Appropriations Subcommittee on March 20 recommending an appropriation of at least $44.7 billion for NIH for FY 2021. The testimony highlights recent advances in cancer immunotherapy and vaccination and explains the critical role of the immune system in understanding, and combating, the novel coronavirus.
