AAI Diversity Travel Award
Download 2023 Reimbursement POLICY & Form
This award provides travel support to eligible trainees and early-career faculty members who are members of populations reported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to be underrepresented in the U.S. biomedical, clinical, behavioral and social sciences research enterprise.*
Awardees attending IMMUNOLOGY2025™ will receive $1,250 to defray expenses associated with attending the AAI annual meeting. Monetary awards will be paid by ACH or wire transfer to recipients following the AAI annual meeting.
In most cases, this award may not be combined with other awards or grants for the AAI annual meeting; trainee recipients may receive the AAI Trainee Abstract Award or AAI Trainee Poster Award, but the funding under the AAI Diversity Travel Award will be reduced commensurate with the amount of the other award received.
AAI travel award applicants are encouraged to consider submitting an abstract to the AAI annual meeting. Abstract submission is required to be considered for a poster presentation and for an oral presentation in a Block Symposium. See more details at https://immunology2025.aai.org/abstracts/.
