Lewis L. Lanier

 Brief Bio

Lewis L. Lanier is J. Michael Bishop, MD, Distinguished Professor in Microbiology and Immunology and chair of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Lewis was president of The American Association of Immunologists from 2006 to 2007 and served on the AAI Council from 2001 to 2008. He was awarded the AAI Distinguished Service Award in 2001 and was elected a Distinguished Fellow of AAI in 2019.
