Brief Bio
Joseph David Feldman (1916–1995), elected to AAI in 1963, was the fifth editor-in-chief (EIC) of
The Journal of Immunology, serving from 1971 to 1987. He was the second-longest tenured EIC in the history of the journal. Feldman made significant contributions to the burgeoning field of immunopathology as a member of the Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation (now the Scripps Research Institute) for over 20 years. Although he retired and was named member emeritus at Scripps in 1983, Feldman continued to serve as EIC of
The Journal of Immunology until 1987.
