GENERAL INFORMATIONCHILD CARE Formal child-care is not provided at the Hynes Convention Center or at any of the participating hotels for the 2006 meeting. We suggest you contact the concierge at the hotel you are staying first. Arrangements should be made directly with a child-care service provider prior to the meeting, as sitters are referred based on the number and ages of children. The AAI, participating guest societies, FASEB and their officers, employees and agents assume no responsibility with respect to these services and accept no liabilities relative to the services. CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. Category I Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits will be offered at this meeting. For the purpose of Continuing Medical Education credits toward the American Medical Association Physician's Recognition Award, the Immunology 2006 meeting is jointly sponsored by FASEB. There is a $45 application fee, payable upon submission of the form. MEETING OBJECTIVE/TARGET AUDIENCE At the completion of this meeting, participants should be able to: 1) discuss the research underway and/or the current topics relevant to their areas of interest in immunology 2) demonstrate a gained level of insight into the methods being used by researchers and practitioners in this field; and 3) describe a personal exposure to several stimulating areas of inquiry with speakers in related areas. The preliminary program is available on the AAI website. This meeting is targeted to clinical practitioners, research scientists, and medical education professionals. DISCLOSURE POLICY The Federation requires that audiences at FASEB-sponsored educational programs be informed of a presenter's (speaker, faculty, author, or contributor) academic and professional affiliation, and the existence of any significant financial interest or other relationship a presenter has with the manufacturer(s) of any commercial product(s) discussed in an educational presentation. When an unlabeled use of a commercial product, or an investigational use not yet approved for any purpose is discussed during the presentation, it is required that presenters disclose that the product is not labeled for the use under discussion or that the product is still investigational. This policy allows the listener/attendee to be fully knowledgeable in evaluating the information being presented. The Program will note those speakers who have disclosed relationships, including the nature of the relationship and the associated commercial entity. Disclosure will include any relationship that may bias one's presentation or which, if known, could give the perception of bias. These situations may include, but are not limited to: 1) stock options or bond holdings in a for-profit corporation or self-directed pension plan; 2) research grants; 3) employment (full or part-time); 4) ownership or partnership; 5) consulting fees or other remuneration; 6) non-remunerative positions of influence such as officer, board member, trustee, or public spokesperson; 7) receipt of royalties; 8) speakers bureau; 9) other. For full- time employees of industry or government, the affiliation listed in the Program will constitute full disclosure.
