At IMMUNOLOGY 2011™, the Education Committee held a session entitled "AAI High School Teachers Summer Research Program Workshop: Lessons in Immunology." The session featured the 2010-2011 participating high school teachers presenting their experiences and projects. The session was chaired by Brian A. Cobb.
The Education Committee also co-sponsored a lecture and roundtable with the AAI Committee on the Status of Women, "Careers in Science: Lecture and Roundtable."
At IMMUNOLOGY 2010™, the Education Committee held two sessions. The first, "The Balancing Act: Teaching and Research at Undergraduate Institutions," was a panel chaired by Sharon A. Stranford and Jennifer A. Punt, and also included Richard A. Goldsby, and Devavani Chatterjea. The second session, "AAI High School Teachers Summer Research Program Workshop: Lessons in Immunology," featured the 2009-2010 participating high school teachers presenting their experiences and projects. The session was chaired by Brian A. Cobb.
The Education Committee also co-sponsored a lecture and roundtable with the AAI Committee on the Status of Women, "Careers in Science: Lecture and Roundtable." Carol A. Nacy, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Sequella, Inc., gave the keynote lecture, "Traversing the scientific and cultural borders of academia and industry," and the roundtable included Gail A. Bishop, Janis K. Burkhardt, Patricia Fitzgerald-Bocarsly, John G. Monroe, Monica Mann, Daniela I. Verthelyi, Alan Sher, Gerald Sonnenfeld, Andy Kokaji, Mitchell Kronenberg, Patricia Cortes, M. Michele Hogan, Lauren G. Gross, Susan Wolski, Jill E. Slansky, Thais Salazar-Mather, Terri M. Laufer, and Sharon A. Stranford.
At IMMUNOLOGY 2009™, the Education Committee held two sessions. The first, "The NIH Grant Maze: Navigating Old Turns and New Twists," was a panel chaired by Barry P. Sleckman, and also included Cheryl A. Kitt, Gail A. Bishop, and Richard A. Pelroy. The second session, "John H. Wallace High School Teachers Workshop: Lessons in Immunology," featured the 2008-2009 participating high school teachers presenting their experiences and projects. The session was chaired by Brian A. Cobb.
The Education Committee also co-sponsored two additional sessions. The first, a lecture and roundtable with the AAI Committee on the Status of Women, "Careers in Science: Lecture and Roundtable Discussion" was a keynote lecture by Phyllis M. Wise, and chaired by Christine Milcarek and Bonnie N. Dittel. The second, "The Secrets to a Successful Postdoctoral Experience," was co-sponsored with National Postdoctoral Association and featured a talk by Karen A. Peterson.

At Experimental Biology, the Education Committee held three session in conjunction with Experimental Biology 2008. Pennell, Brian A. Cobb, Andrea A. Itano, and Ross M. Kedl. The third session, "John H. Wallace High School Teachers Workshop: Lessons in Immunology," featured the 2007-2008 participating high school teachers presenting their experiences and projects. The session was chaired by Brian A. Cobb.
The Education Committee also co-sponsored a Careers Roundtable with the AAI Committee on the Status of Women. The Roundtable was chaired by Christine Milcarek.
