Gail A. Bishop

 Brief Bio

Gail A. Bishop is Director of the Center for Immunology & Immune-Based Diseases at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. She is also the Holden Chair of Cancer Biology and College of Medicine Distinguished Professor of Microbiology at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. Dr. Bishop was president of The American Association of Immunologists from 2012 to 2013 and served on the AAI Council from 2007 to 2014. She was elected a Distinguished Fellow of AAI in 2019.
